Our legal team regularly has meetings to discuss our cases. This means that no matter who your named lawyer is, the expertise of the whole team weighs in on your case.

EKR Law brings together a team who have a combined experience of  over 80 years experience in Criminal Law and has a proven track record of success. We use that experience to help you down a path to the results you need. We will fight for you, no matter how challenging the case. Your best defence is our duty and our focus.

EKR Law is currently a private law practice. We have  a Legal Aid contract for criminal legal aid cases which commenced in October 2022. We therefore offer a legal aid service for those charged and interviewed in relation to  criminal offences. 

For proceedings brought in the magistrates' court we offer a fixed fee private service for single appearance for a road traffic offence. The fixed fee for  a non-complex single appearance road traffic is £600 plus VAT. 

For more complex matters we may not be able to give an exact fixed fee but fees will range from approximately £1500 to £5000 in the magistrate's' court. VAT will be charged on top of these fees. The VAT rate is 20%. Our VAT number is 425115823.

Expert Witness fees will have to be paid for by the client and are not included in the fixed fee.  They range from approximately £500- £5000 depending on the expert that is required. Some charge 20% VAT.

 Our solicitors disbursements, ie travel costs, will be included in the fixed fee. Our solicitors are vastly experienced with a minimum of 15 years experience. We may instruct counsel in some cases. Only solicitors and barristers will represent you at court. 

We will apply for Legal aid in most cases. Our Private fee structure is reasonable, realistic and reflects the quality of our advice and our track record. Our fee structure will be explained to you before we begin our work with you.
